Culture Day will be Thursday, Oct. 27, giving HIU the opportunity to celebrate different cultures. The day will begin with a culture parade through chapel. Students had the opportunity to be involved in the parade, and will be marching through Chapel holding flags representative of their culture. That day Sheridan McDaniel will speak in Chapel and will be discussing how students all belong to the body of Christ.
Following chapel there will be student performances in the Commons. There will be cooking instructions where students will get an opportunity to make foods from different cultures and try them.
In preparation for Culture Day students have been practicing performances to entertain guests.
The final planning meeting is today at 6 p.m. in the ISP Lobby. Those involved have been meeting weekly since September.
