Men’s basketball continues win streak with 14 wins. Destroying Clark University 93-62, and University of Redlands 84-43. The men continued to dominate with back to back games against Northwest Indian College 115-78 and 123-73. The wins continued with battles against Bethesda 85-63, and Saskatchewan 95-66.
The Royals started GSAC play with a match against Vanguard University. Dillon Reise came in clutch sinking 10 of 13 shots also ending as the leading scorer. The men started out the game strong with three pointers from Issac Douglass, Devin Greene, and Reise the momentum continued the Royals taking home the win 71-50.
San Diego Christian College put up a fight in the closest game the men have faced to date. Andrew Bournes pulled a career-high of 21 points after roller-coaster game. Deondre Bryant assisted with the win throughout the back and forth game after landing a pair of free throws. The men ended the night 80-76.
“[San Diego Christian] was closer than usual games, I felt like we were a little confused on screens.” Bryant said “but once we figured that out, adjusted and weathered the storm we were able to compete at a level that we usually do.”
The men continued to reign undefeated in GSAC with a match against William Jessup University. The Royals dominated 75-66. The team is currently 4-0 in GSAC.
Their next game will be at home this Saturday, Jan. 20, at 3 p.m. against Arizona Christian University.
