Men’s Basketball capped off their regular season with a GSAC score of 11-3. The Royals roasted the Firestorm in Arizona 72-47.
They went into a close battle against The Masters. Fighting for the lead in a dramatic back-and-forth ultimately ending in the Mustangs first GSAC loss 63-62. Daniel Young came in clutch with a total of six blocks, six rebounds, and sinking 8-16 from the field.
The Masters is currently 13-1 in GSAC ranking number one with HIU taking on the number two position.
Coming off the close win, the men faced Westmont for the final game of regular season, who earlier in the season broke the Royals 17 game win streak. The Warriors stood no chance in round two as the men dominated 74-57.
This game also celebrated senior night where the Royals highlighted five seniors, Liam Hunt, Andrew Bournes, Deondre Bryant, Daniel Young, and Donny Punter.
Bournes managed to foul out with 6:28 remaining, but the Royals still brought home the win. Following the match both Bournes and Liam Hunt were awarded All-GSAC.
