The baseball team was demolished by Arizona Christian College Friday, March 23, 3-11.
Center Fielder, Brandon Gonzalez, got onto base one time out of the three times he batted. Right Fielder, Jonah Dean-Hargroves, also got onto base once out of the two times he was at bat. He also received one runs batted in (RBI). Frank Garriola, first and third baseman, also got one RBI.
Arizona Christian College continued their victories Saturday, March 24, in a double header. The first game ended close with a score of 2-4. The second game only lasted eight inning with Arizona Christian College crushing the Royals 4-9.
In the first game, catcher, Jeff Murray, had two hits out of three at bats. In the second game three players came in clutch: Lee Mutter, Brandon Gonzelez, and Nolan Kraemer. Lee Mutter, a pinch hitter, had one hit out of the one time he was at bat. Second Baseman, Nolan Kraemer, went three for three and Gonzalez, went one for two, but he brought in two runs.
The Royals suffered another defeat against William Jessup University, Friday, March 28, 17-19.
Kraemer went three for five in this game, and designated hitter, John Santospajo, went four for six with three RBIS. Third baseman, Blake Ronca, went up to bat six times and got three hits. He also brought in five runs. Pinch Hitter, Josh Balbuena, went one for one and brought in two runs.
The team came back with two victories the next day in a double header, Saturday, March 29. The first game ended 18-10, but the second game lasted eight innings with a final score of 8-7.
In the second game, Garriola continued bringing in runs with two RBIS. Balbuena also brought in two runs, and he got two hits out the three times he was at bat.
The baseball team will face Master’s University at 6 p.m. tomorrow in Amerige Park.
