Royals Sweep Warriors in Epic Match

The Men’s Soccer team suffered a defeat against Florida National University at Fullerton College with a score of 1-2 on Thursday, Sept. 27.

The Royals yielded to the Phoenixes of Arizona Christian University at Fullerton College with a score of 2-3 on Saturday, Sept. 29.

However, on Saturday, Sept. 29, the Men’s Soccer team came back and razed the Warriors. Jason Santana scored first. Then Kyle Pizano scored from the penalty spot, giving the Royals a 2-0 lead. The next two goals were made by John Mejia and Kiattipat Kunthong. Jason Santana, not done with the Warriors, came in and scored the final goal. The final score was a 5-0 routing of the Warriors.

The Men’s Soccer team record is now 5-5; however, only two of these games were in GSAC, making their conference record 1-1.

The Royals will face off against Vanguard University tonight at 4 p.m. at Vanguard’s field in Costa Mesa. Their next home game will be Thursday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.
