The Royals’ offensive outburst was not enough to conquer Eastern Oregon University and they conceded the match 3-4 on Thursday, Sept. 6. However, Women’s Soccer quickly found their way back on track with a slew of impressive performances.

Soka University of America fell to the Royals by a commanding score of 6-0 on Saturday, Sept. 8. A total barrage of shots taken —thirty-two in total—allowed the women to keep their foot on the gas pedal throughout the game. Junior forward Leigha Williams found the back of the net three times, registering the first hat trick of the season for the Royals.

Williams and the Royals continued their hot streak into the contest against Marymount California University on Thursday, Sept. 13. The team proved their dominant win against Soka University was not a fluke, defeating the Marymount Mariners 5-2.

Perhaps the most eye-opening game of the season thus far for the Royals came against Providence Christian College on Saturday, Sept. 15. Jazzmyn Esquivel scored an astonishing four times en route to the Royals’ 11-1 desecration of the Sea Beggers.

The Royals will play California Baptist University on Friday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m. in Riverside.
